Dallas, Texas, January 2017 – The Howard, LLP team congratulates Tim Pike, Audit Partner at Howard, on his elected 2017-18 Chair-Elect of the Dallas CPA Society (DCPAS). For his Chair-Elect year, Tim will direct the Vision Committee that develops the strategic mission of the DCPAS, which occurs once every 3 years. The follow year he will be the Chair of the DCPAS, which has more than 6,500 CPA members. The Dallas CPA Society, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (Dallas Chapter), is a not-for-profit professional association serving CPA members in Dallas and the surrounding 13 counties. It is the second largest chapter of the Texas Society, Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), the statewide professional association with over 27,000 members and 20 chapters around the state. Tim joined Howard in 2004 as a seasoned audit professional. He has extensive assurance experience in a wide variety of industries, and he also devotes considerable time consulting with organizations on internal controls, litigation support, accounting best practices and cost management. He additionally performs peer reviews and consults with other accounting firms regarding technical issues. In 2014, Tim was recognized as the CPA of the Year for professionals under the age of 40 by the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. You will also find him training other professionals on various continuing education topics and periodically serves as adjunct faculty for local universities.
