Today calls for celebration because it’s Emma’s one-year anniversary with Howard! As a member of our Admin Team, Emma is one of the first smiling faces we see at the office each day. She has a calming, sweet personality that our entire team appreciates. Learn more about Emma’s goals and passions below!
What’s your ‘and?’
(What keeps you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated outside the office?)
My ‘and’ is anything that involves spending time with friends and family, reading a good book, or trying out a new coffee shop.
What’s your favorite memory from working at Howard?
Being on the Admin Team and working the front desk often requires being at the office even when others aren’t. We like to take advantage of these times, using the peace and quiet to catch up on work or spend time as a team. One day last December, we found ourselves as some of the few people left at the office and decided to decorate for the holidays. We put on Christmas music and got to work. We used every single decoration we could find and had a blast putting everything up. It was a fun day, and we got tons of compliments on our décor!
Which Howard values do you regularly use in your role?
I have to go with the Howard values of “Team” and “Connected.” The Admin Team supports every single department and team member at Howard. I love that my job allows me to interact with everyone in our team!

How does working at Howard help you accomplish your personal and/or professional goals?
A goal of mine, both personally and professionally, is to avoid being stagnant and to intentionally pursue growth. At Howard, growth isn’t a choice, it’s inevitable. There is constant encouragement to grow and become a better version of yourself. I love knowing that by taking the time to grow and push myself and watching others do the same, we make Howard a better place to work for everyone!
Team member’s note: Emma’s pursuit to grow absolutely pays off and does make Howard a better place to work! Not only does she take initiative in her work, but she is also a team player who is considerate and kindhearted to everyone.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching Emma develop throughout this last year, and we’re excited to see where her ambition and drive take her at Howard. Congratulations, Emma!
