Dallas, Texas, June 2014 – Just as we are dedicated to serving the needs of our clients, Howard, LLP is committed to supporting activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we work and live.
Service is an inherent part of the Howard culture. We believe giving back to the community is a “win-win” scenario for both our firm and the organizations that we support. As a company and corporate family, our firm believes that community involvement and volunteerism is a vital initiative that boosts morale, strengthens our team, and fosters better citizens.
Team members at Howard give back to their community year-round, but this year the firm launched an employee Community Impact Program to promote and facilitate community involvement and philanthropy for team members. Organized group volunteer activities enable our firm to bring groups of team members together, and enjoy the benefits of team building, leadership development and enhanced communication facilitation between team members and work groups while making an impact in our community.
Our First Project: Friday, May 30th – Served lunch in conjunction with The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Social Service Center provides meals, temporary housing, and various other programs. It is the largest multi-use facility in the Salvation Army world and can house up to 600 people per night. Their mission is to “care for the poor, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked, love the unlovable, and befriend the friendless”.
