Our Howard Spring 2023 interns arrived last month, and we’re so happy to welcome them to the team! Each of them have unique backgrounds, passions, and goals, which we want to celebrate by highlighting them throughout their internships. First up, we’re introducing Anamol, an audit intern!

Before Howard

Anamol is currently in his last year of school at the University of Texas at Arlington (go Mavs!). He’s double majoring in accounting and computer science – a BIG numbers guy. Upon graduating in December of this year, he’ll be CPA eligible. Prior to joining us at Howard, Anamol completed two years of internships in corporate and public accounting. During this time, he realized audit work is what gets him excited, which drew him to Howard’s Audit Team.

At Howard

In just under a month, Anamol has already learned a great deal at Howard. He says that his fellow team members are welcoming and always happy to help, including his managers. In particular, Anamol’s coach, Cara, has been very helpful, as she offers advice on technical work, communication, and his career. Additionally, team members Amber and Adriana have supported him, which is a perfect example of our Howard values at work. Anamol is enjoying getting to know his fellow interns and leaning on them for support as well.

Currently, Anamol is working with two of our clients. He’s learning different audit sections piece by piece and looks forward to expanding this knowledge throughout his internship.

Beyond the Internship

Anamol has big goals set for himself in the future. In the next few years, he’d like to complete his CPA certification, grow professionally in public accounting, get a master’s in accounting, and work full-time in an auditing role. In the long-term, Anamol aims to become an entrepreneur, specifically the owner of a tech startup! This ambition is what prompted him to get a degree in accounting, as these skills will aid him in learning strategic decision-making and acquiring the financial understanding necessary to run a business. He knows that technical skills are another key to achieving this goal, which is why he’s also majoring in computer science. Anamol gets excited about playing with numbers and thinking logically, which is a strength of his.

Outside the Office

Of course, at Howard we can’t forget to celebrate what excites our team beyond technical work! Anamol’s biggest passion is soccer (or football), as he’s played for several years. He also likes playing video games and traveling; he’s big on going to new places, exploring new cultures, and trying new food!

We’re enjoying getting to know Anamol a little more each day and look forward to supporting him in accomplishing his personal and professional goals. Thank you for all you do for our clients and for being a part of our team, Anamol!
