Dallas, Texas, January 2014 – On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, during their Annual Meeting of Members, the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) recognized Tim Pike as Dallas CPA Society’s 2014 Young CPA of the Year for his outstanding contributions and dedication to the accounting profession.
Tim is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Senior Manager for Howard, LLP. Tim joined the firm in 2004 as a seasoned audit professional. He has extensive assurance experience in a wide variety of industries, and he also devotes considerable time consulting with organizations on internal controls, litigation support, accounting best practices and cost management. He additionally performs peer reviews and consults with other accounting firms regarding technical issues.
Since joining the Dallas CPA Society 2002, Tim has made himself an invaluable asset to the Dallas CPA Society through his work on the CPE Council and Leadership Development Academy, as well as his coordination and dedication to the Toastmasters group that meets weekly at the Chapter office. He continues to prove his considerable leadership capabilities through his Co-Chairmanship of the Partners In Education and the Convergence 2014 committees, as well as his election to the 2014-15 Board of Directors.
Tim is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. You will also find Tim instructing other Certified Public Accountants on various continuing education topics. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas Woman’s University and a Master in Accountancy degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
