Today we have another team member milestone- Debbie is celebrating one year at Howard! As a Supervising Senior on our Tax team, Debbie has greatly contributed to our firm just in her first year here. Wherever she sees that firm processes can be improved, she speaks up and gives input so that we all have a better work experience. We truly value Debbie’s dedication to our clients and the Howard team. Get to know more about Debbie below with Q&A about her passions inside and outside the office!

What’s your ‘and?’

(What are your passions outside of work that keep you feeling fulfilled and rejuvenated?)

Spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and spending time with my dog, Brody.

What is your favorite memory from working at Howard?

I enjoyed when the firm went to Top Golf. It didn’t matter whether you were an accomplished golfer or not. Everyone seemed to enjoy the time spent together.

How do you use the Howard values regularly in your role?

The two values I believe I have used most in this first year have been being engaged and continuing to grow. I try to be engaged and do my best to help the team and clients in every aspect needed. I continue to grow and learn daily! I learn more about the firm, the team, and many new areas of taxation. The learning opportunities never end!

How does working at Howard help you accomplish your personal and/or professional goals?

One of my professional goals has always been to learn and expand my knowledge when it comes to taxation. The world of taxation is never ending and always evolving. Howard has given me the opportunity to learn about different industries, strategies, and areas of taxation. The best thing is that everyone is helpful and always willing to answer questions. Additionally, they are willing to explain the “why” to the answer.

When working with her peers, Debbie is always appreciative and compassionate. We want to echo that gratitude and let her know how much we appreciate her back!
