Today we’re wishing a happy one-year Howard anniversary to Katelyn! As an Audit Supervising Senior, Katelyn is both methodical and dependable. We honor her eagerness to grow and develop herself inside and outside the office. Celebrate Katelyn’s anniversary with us with some Q&A below!

What’s your ‘and?’

(What are your passions outside of work that keep you feeling fulfilled and rejuvenated?)

My ‘and’ is spending quality time with my dogs. Being able to work from home has been the biggest blessing since now I get to spend more time with Remi and Ruger.

Team member’s note: Even though we don’t see Katelyn face-to-face most days, we recognize what a valuable member of our team she is! It also makes us happy to know she gets plenty of quality time with her sweet dogs.

What is your favorite story from working at Howard?

My favorite memory would be the Firm Meeting at Top Golf that happened this spring. Working remotely doesn’t allow me to meet or get to know my fellow team members, so when the firm has events like that, I’m able to meet people from other departments and feel more at home with the firm.

How do you use one of the Howard values regularly in your role?  

I think I use “Growing.” Before coming to Howard, I played and coached softball, and I think that shows in my training methods. I love telling team members that I don’t know the answers to all their questions but that I am also not afraid to ask those questions. The team is constantly growing and asking amazing questions.

How does working at Howard help you accomplish your personal and/or professional goals?

 My supervisors here at Howard truly care about my life outside of working hours. As I begin to study for the CPA exam, my manager has been extremely helpful with the guidance she has given me.
